For all of those wanting to jump off Listary sinking ship: the two top options are:
FluentSearch - feature set, more buggy, developer is a GOD.
Flow Launcher - more robust core set. Team of developers very responsive.
rofl are you kidding me? They want me to give them my email and phone number so they can call me BEFORE I CAN EVEN DOWNLOAD THE APP?

What are you talking about? ChaseApp is also a valid option for advanced users who use many cloud services.

For all of the poor souls looking for a Listary alternative, FINALLY there’s an answer.
Thank god my friend @kwanice suggested Fluent Search. It is already surpassing Listary and has become the best Windows app launcher (+ many other things!!) in existence.
The programmer works for Microsoft and literally programs requests within hours. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life.

Whoa! Dude. Fluent now has a minimal search bar. I remember listing it as one of my gripes earlier. That developer is on fire.

Me too @kwanice I am leaving this forum for good. For those of you who want the new best Listary alternative, come to Fluent Search’s discord. So much action there. The best of the best app!
Tried Fluent Search and deinstalled it.
The default context menus of the file type are not shown for the search results.
This works much better in Listary or Everything.
File search criterai are not sufficient and almost none compared with Everything
or Wox with the Everything plugin.

Talk to the developer with your need. He will probably implement them within a few days.
Is Listary 6 currently usable or better stay on version 5 ? 
Listary 5 works great for me 
Beta 6 works fine for me since a long time
but others have problems according to the forum.
Why don’t you just try it ?
If it doesn’t work for you its no problem to reinstall the latest version 5
Keep trying alternatives like Flow Launcher and Fluid but I don’t see any that are as good with the save as dialogue.
Listary can:
CTRL+G for opening latest folder
Can search for a folder in the save as dialogue (Fluent appears to be able to do this)
Click on a folder then click in the save as to bring it up
Sticking with Listary 6 Beta.
Fluent already does all of that. I was also a hardcore fan of Listary (still am) so its saying something when I say that I’ve been using Fluent for over a month now and I haven’t had to change my workflow significantly, neither have I felt the need to go back to Listary. Fluent is constantly improving and meets my needs. For example the search-in-save-as dialogue feature is already available.
With the dialogue open, press Alt+Space to call up the search and input the name of the folder or file you want and the dialogue will automatically switch to that directory. You can also click on the folder if it is open and when you click back in the save as dialogue, it will also update to the most recent folder
For me, the “Save as …” dialogue is the most important functionality of Listary.
No other application offers this feature.
I also find the integration of other file managers (like Total Commander) great
Searching for files or launching applications has a rather subordinate importance for me
