Key Updates

1. Introducing the New Sidebar for Simplified Filtering:

  • Check out our new sidebar in the File Search Window, making it easier than ever to filter your searches.
  • Click and choose filters with ease, no more memorizing keywords.
  • Find files by date with the new ā€œdate modifiedā€ filter.
  • To keep your search results clean, system files, hidden files, and unopenable files are now hidden by default (toggle them in the sidebar if needed).

2. Enhanced Navigation - Now Keyboard-Friendly:

  • Switch seamlessly between the File Search Window and the launcher with the Ctrl-Ctrl shortcut. Say goodbye to mouse dependence!
  • Customize your experience with a dedicated shortcut for the File Search Window in the options.
  • Quickly close the launcher and File Search Window using the ESC key

  • Weā€™ve significantly improved the response speed of the File Search Window. Now itā€™s as smooth and fast as the launcher!

Nice update but missing a few functions:
The new search window doesnā€™t remember its size, which requires additional work on every start.
Cursor over a file name in the search window doesnā€™t show full name for truncated names.
You still canā€™t select more than one file from the results.

Most of my actions are starting notepad (the system editor)
instead of opening the configured apps.
For example ed: viewer: cmd:
They worked in the previous betas.

You can right-click the result and open the actions menu. Are you unable to use the actions menu in this version?

No, right click and select the action works fine.
Only the keywords donā€™t work

In my environment, filtering by folder excludes all items. This setting is only for PRO users in this version and cannot be changed.

You might have modified the folder settings in a previous version. To prevent loss of configurations, we havenā€™t reset the filter settings for non-PRO users.

Are you asking about right-clicking on a result in the file search window and then using a keyword in the right-click menu to trigger an action? Currently, this is not supported in the file search window. The keywords for actions can only be used in the launcher.

No, I use the Actions in the Louncher.
Typing Ctrl Ctrl and then
ed:mysearchtext
It finds the files, but if I click on one of the results it always opens Notepad with them.

I added a keyword to search only in a mapped Drive from a server like ā€œE:ā€

but it does nothing and keep on searching in my C: drive

You canā€™t specify D:
but D:\ works

Hi,
On my system with this new version, the first call works well but then Listary no longer answers (several trials with same behavior).
I had to re-install the previous version (no bugs with that one).

Currently we donā€™t support this syntax (yet). It should not work in previous versions either. The Action keyword only works after entering the Actions page (via Right arrow key).

Maybe you can set a hotkey like Ctrl + E for your action? Then you would be able to simply type mysearchtext, select it, and press Ctrl + E to open it in your favorite editor.

Looking good.

But I feel that the speed is quite slow, it seem to do a manual search and index.

And now math calculation is no longer working? For example: 5*2 should give us 10
