Steps to Reproduce
- Install an app from the Microsoft store that has regular updates (like Windows Terminal or Slack).
- Run this app through the Listary launcher.
Expected Result
The Listary launcher runs the program always.
Actual Result
Occasionally, Listary won’t run the program. My hunch is that this happens when Windows Store updates the program while Listary is running.
After a restart of Listary, it will run the program again. Differently from other file system changes, Listary doesn’t seem to pick up changes to Microsoft Store apps while it is running.
Windows Version
Windows 11
Listary Version
6.3.0.78
Additional Information
I’m not certain that this happens only with Windows Store applications, and I’m not certain that it is related to application updates. Both are hunches based on my experience with the issue.
From this support thread, it seems that Listary is aware that it doesn’t handle Windows Store app updates correctly, without a workaround other than manually restarting Listary. For which Listary doesn’t seem to provide a reasonably convenient method (like a text I could type in the launcher, similar to “reboot”).
