Quick Switch to already opened folder doesn't work

I used to be able to have a folder open in Windows File Explorer, then switch to the File Dialog window and it’d automatically jump to the folder I have open in Windows File Explorer. Since the most recent update, this no longer works.

Did it turn off a setting somewhere? How can I turn this feature on again?

It still works for me, but it’s unreliable. I frequently have to switch back and forth between the file dialog and the file listing for Quick Switch to activate.

EDIT: I neglected to mention I use Directory Opus.

I use the integration with Total Commander.
In this case is works fine and reliable in any Open file dialogs.
