It’s not a technical problem to provide a portable version.
The problem with a tool like Listary is that without a background service
and admin rights for it, its major function doesn’t work.
It has to be started with Admin rights, creating a UAC prompt
and then it starts the indexing.
Portable versions of such tools have no real benefit
compared to the integrated Windows indexer.

Portable software is always an advantage, because no fucking installation!
I hate installing software. It is such a waste of time and trashes the system.
Also after new Windows setup, everything is just there, because nothing needs to be installed!
