When trying to search for files when uploading or selecting them in another program’s search window you can’t move the search bar.
This is by design because there is no need to move the search bar. Besides, moving it may cause confusion.
Moving the search bar in the regular “Ctrl + Ctrl” works fine though. And I personally see a need for it when the search results go on top of the search bar and crowd the file manager and you can’t see some of the stuff you’re searching for.
While searching with Listary, I don’t think I need to see the stuff in the file/folder dialog. However, moving the file/folder dialog upward can keep the search results below the dialog.
