License activations, multiple licenses?

1)
Haven’t really used listary much but now I see a license activation model.

Does the license activation-page work with multiple licenses?

Now I see 0-6 activations, can I assume this is per license.

  • Meaning each license is max 6 activations?
  • And on how many machines may each license be used?

In my case, I have 2 pro licenses.

2)
Does listary “phone home”, meaning contact some webserver each time listary boots or periodically? (for license check?).

Only if phoning home is the case (previous point 2).
Could you consider the user creating an activation file from webpage, that file is based specifically for a pc, so it can not be used on another pc. The webpage registers how many activation-files where generated.
And no phoning home because the user uses an activation-file.
Or implement some other way that does not have the need to phone home.

I’m seeing my license in white color font, almost invisible.
Do others have the same issue?

Hi Ron,

1) License activations: Yes, the activation count is per license. Each Pro license allows up to 3 activations. With 2 Pro licenses, you can activate on up to 6 machines total.

2) “Phone home”: Yes, Listary does perform license validation checks.

3) Activation file suggestion: Interesting idea about offline activation files. I’ll pass this to the development team for consideration.

4) License key display issue: Thanks for reporting this! It looks like a dark mode compatibility issue where the license key background color doesn’t adapt properly. We’ll look into fixing this. As a workaround, you can use the “Copy License to Clipboard” button to get your key.
