Install defaults to Administrator~`

Hi… Are you assuming that only administrators or the ‘user’ administrator is the one that is going to use the program???

makes no sense!

And as it is installd, it must be installed using the administrator account!

Please fix… It should install in the users users roaming folder, not in the administrator folder. Not sure how no one has brought up this in the past?

Using the Admin user is a RISK - it should never be used! it is only for installing programs. Otherwise with the craze of viruses, they have an easier time entering.

it shouldbe in my case: C:\Users\me\AppData\Roaming\Listary

and NOT

C:\Users\administrator\AppData\Roaming\Listary

Thank you!

Alberto

I don’t know what you are doing, but you are completely wrong.
It installs under program files as every normal program does.
For the installation, it asks for permission per UAC.
Its data is stored under C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Listary
While running, its service needs enhanced privileges to index NTFS volumes.
Listary itself runs with the privileges of the current user
and programs started from it have the same of course.
So all is as it should be.
