HOWEVER, it would be great to have the ability to export/import the index locations definition to copy to my other laptop(s) and computer(s). Definitions can be complex when optimal.
Also in index locations : it would be great to have the option to specify the directory depth that will be indexed, since this may reduce the number of “false positive” results from a very large and deep directory. Just having the top two levels for example may provide enough as a starting point.
Late to this thread, but for anyone in future… So far (Listary 6.3.0.71) haven’t found an export option.
But it should be possible to migrate settings manually by copying and then pasting/importing preferences.json from path “C:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\Listary\UserProfile\Settings\Preferences.json”
or maybe for older versions (not sure about this) “C:\Users\Tomas\AppData\Roaming\Listary\UserData\Preferences.json”
You can try as well copying the full folder “C:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\Listary” for migrating history and etc. Don’t forget to rebuild the index afterwards.
