Sorry if it’s been asked before …
I have a file save dialog open in some app
I press ctrl G and focus switches to the location currently open in explorer
I save my file there
This process only works with a few file managers …
I want to understand how it works -
- does file explorer use some register to record which directory it is currently pointing at?
- does listary monitor the current directory focused inside explorer
ctrl G is maybe my most loved function of Listary. It affects which file manager I choose in WIndows
Thanks!
PS I have not so far been able to find a way to mimic this function in linux systems - still trying!
