Listary doesn't open network paths automatically with CTRL-G

Hello Channing,
my actual problem is (Listary 4.23.1792/Win 8.1 x64):

I open i.e. a Word file open window then
I open parallel a MS Explorer i.e. “\server\path1\path2”

Result:
The path in the Word file open window changes automatically to “\server\path1\path2” (CTRL-G or klick between the both windows)

The same in Total Commader 8.51a does not work. This path switches only works correct with local drives i.e. C: D: or with the direct NW root path “\server” without subdirectories

My TC settings in Listary are:

c:\Program Files\totalcmd\TOTALCMD64.EXE
/O /T “%1”

Can you help?

Olaf

Hi Olaf,

Sorry that I’m not able to reproduce this bug.

  1. Open Listary Options - General, if “Run as administrator” is checked, uncheck it and restart Listary.
  2. Open the server path \\server\path1 in Windows Explorer first, and then open \\server\path1\path2 in TC, try if Ctrl+G works now.

Hi Channing,
you are right!
This was the solution:

  1. Open Listary Options - General, if “Run as administrator” is checked, uncheck it and restart Listary.

Detected Problem:
Listary as Admin does not recognize UNC paths

Why is it?

Thanks for help!
Yours Olaf
